Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

Navigate to any project feed and use the post composer at the top of the page. You can add a title, rich content with the editor, attach images or files, and publish when ready.

Projects are containers for related updates. Think of them as channels or folders. Create projects for different initiatives, teams, or product areas. Each project has its own color and can be set to public (visible to all workspace members) or private (invite-only).

Go to Settings > Members and click 'Invite Members'. Enter their email addresses and select a role (Viewer, Member, Admin, or Owner). They'll receive an email invitation to join your workspace.

Posts & Content

The rich text editor supports headings, bold, italic, bullet lists, numbered lists, code blocks, blockquotes, links, and inline images. Use the toolbar or markdown shortcuts for quick formatting.

Yes! You can drag and drop files directly into the editor or use the attachment button. Supported formats include images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, HEIC), videos (MP4, WebM), audio (MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC), 3D models (GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, USDZ), Rive animations, and documents (PDF, DOC, etc.).

Click the three-dot menu on any post you authored. You can edit the content, update attachments, or delete the post. Admins and owners can delete any post in the workspace.

Collaboration

Click the reaction button on any post to add an emoji reaction. This is a quick way to acknowledge updates without writing a comment. Popular reactions appear as badges on the post.

Yes! Type @ followed by a teammate's name in comments or posts. They'll receive a notification. This is great for drawing attention or asking for input.

Click 'Reply' on any comment to start a thread. Threads keep related discussions organized and make it easy to follow conversations on specific topics.

Tasks

Open the Tasks page from the sidebar, then click 'New Task'. Enter a title, choose a status and priority, assign a team member, set a due date, and link it to a project. Tasks can also be created from within a project's Tasks tab.

Three views: List (sortable table), Board (Kanban columns by status), and Timeline (Gantt-style chart showing start and due dates). Switch between them using the segmented control at the top.

Yes. Tasks can be linked to posts, creating a two-way reference. The post shows linked tasks, and the task shows linked posts. This connects planning work to progress updates.

Search & Navigation

Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to open the command palette. Type to search across posts, projects, users, comments, annotations, and media files. Results appear in real time.

Yes. Click the bookmark icon on any post to save it. View all your bookmarks from the Bookmarks page in the sidebar. Bookmarks are private and per-workspace.

Integrations

Go to Settings > Integrations and click Connect for Slack or Discord. Follow the OAuth flow to authorize the connection. Once connected, you can configure which events trigger notifications in your channels.

Webhooks send HTTP POST requests to your server when events occur (post created, comment added, etc.). Set them up in Settings > Webhooks with a URL and select which events to subscribe to. All payloads include an HMAC signature for verification.

Security & Privacy

Public projects are visible to all workspace members. Private projects are only visible to explicitly added members. Use private projects for sensitive updates or smaller team discussions.

Viewers have read-only access and can browse, bookmark, comment, and react. Members can create posts and tasks. Admins can also manage projects and moderate content. Owners have full control including billing, workspace settings, and member management.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices including WorkOS AuthKit-managed MFA and session policy, IP allowlists, and app-enforced workspace RBAC. Your workspace's data is isolated and never shared.

MFA policy and security challenges are managed by WorkOS AuthKit, not Project Feed workspace settings. Project Feed enforces workspace membership and role-based access after AuthKit authenticates the user.

Billing & Plans

The Pro plan unlocks analytics dashboards, higher storage limits, priority support, and additional workspace customization options. Core features like posts, tasks, projects, and review are available on all plans.

Go to Settings > Billing. From there you can view your current plan, upgrade, manage payment methods, and view invoice history. Billing is handled securely through Lemon Squeezy.

Media & Files

Images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, HEIC), videos (MP4, WebM), audio (MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC), 3D models (GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, USDZ), Rive animations, sprite sheets, and documents (PDF, DOC, etc.).

Click any file in a post to open the full-screen review viewer. Toggle 'Annotate' mode and click on the file to place a pin with your feedback. Annotations support different statuses (Comment, Needs Changes, Approved, Question, Suggestion), threaded replies, and real-time presence.

Yes. Upload limits depend on your plan. Files are stored securely in Cloudflare R2 and served through a proxy route for access control. Large media files are optimized for delivery.
