Share Links

Share posts with people outside your workspace using secure, time-limited links. Control who can see what, set expiration dates, and revoke access at any time.

Pro plan Share links let you share posts externally with token-based URLs. Upgrade from Billing & Plans.

How Share Links Work

Each share link generates a unique, token-based URL for a post. Recipients can view the post without signing in. Every link has its own access controls and can be revoked independently.

Creating a Share Link

  1. 1.

    Open the Post

Navigate to the post you want to share and click the share icon in the post actions menu.

  2. 2.

    Configure Access

Optionally set an expiration date and choose whether recipients can download attachments.

  3. 3.

    Copy the Link

Click “Create Link” to generate the URL. It’s copied to your clipboard automatically. You can also grab it later from the share dialog.

Access Controls

Expiration Date

Set a date after which the link stops working. Expired links show a friendly message instead of the post content.

Download Access

Control whether recipients can download attached files and media. Off by default to protect sensitive content.

Managing Share Links

View all active share links for a post from the share dialog. Each link shows its creation date, expiration status, and access settings.

You can revoke any link at any time. Revoked links stop working immediately—anyone who clicks one sees an error page. Post creators, link creators, workspace owners, and admins can manage share links.

Under the Hood

Each share link contains a cryptographically random token. When someone opens the link, the token is verified and access controls are checked before the post renders.

Share links are independent of user accounts. You can create multiple links for the same post, each with different settings—handy when you need to share the same update with different audiences at different permission levels.
